Teaching intrapersonal skills to your children
Intrapersonal skill, also known as soft skills, is learning about oneself. It is the ability to know one’s self in a deeper sense. It is self-managing. It is a step above Time Management. It is not about knowing what to say or do at the right time and in the right place. It is about how you say or do them. It is about cultivating inner knowing of who you are. It is your way of thinking and doing. It is about your attitude. It is about having an attitude that aligns with what you think and what you do. Some people call it emotional intelligence. This is the ability to put oneself in another person’s shoes.
Attitude formation and or change are the outcomes of learning interpersonal skills. A negative attitude is likely to produce a negative thought and consequently leads to a negative action. Conversely, a positive attitude is likely to generate a positive thought and invariably results in a positive action.
How do we teach interpersonal skills in children? They learn much more from what they see their parents do than from what they hear them say. What do you do to help them develop attitudes that align with the kind of person you desire for them when they grow up? What are you regretting you did not do with them when they were younger?

Dreams from My Father by Barack Obama.
As a teenager or a young adult, if you keep thinking that you need to depend on your dad, your mum or anyone else in order for you to achieve your full potential in life, then, go and read “Dreams from My Father,” by Barack Obama.

Religion and Freedom
Some people think of religion as a means of killing their joy. They think of the commandments and the rules that restrict their freedom to do whatever they like with their lives. What do you think your religion is preventing you from doing, being or having?
Change Life
There are four types of people in Change Life. There are the Morning people. There are the Afternoon people. There are the Evening people and there are the Night people. Some people get the concept of taking personal responsibility for their lives in their morning. Others get it in their afternoon. Some get it in their evening. Sadly, some people never get it throughout their entire life. It is never too late to change life. What aspect of your life needs changing today? What is in your way from changing it? What could help you to change it?
You are what you think about all the time
You attract whatever you think about all the time. This is the law of Attraction. It is self-fulfilling prophesy. Thinking about scarcity all the time attracts scarcity. Thinking about abundance all the time attracts abundance. What are you attracting to yourself by your way of thinking?
Forgiveness
Forgiveness means you have chosen to leave the past behind, stay in the present and ready to step into the future
Leadership
Leadership is not just about exercising power; it is also about creating an enabling environment that makes exercising power less necessary.
Being a Champion
To be a champion is not just about wining, it is also about losing, albeit gallantly. Remember Eddy ‘The Eagle Edwards’
From Interpersonal to Intrapersonal Relationships
Traditionally, employers devote large chunks of their budget to train their employees with the right level of IQ to help them boost their interpersonal skills. The skills help them to feel good with their colleagues, with their customers and with their stakeholders. However, with the growing awareness of the importance of Emotional Intelligence (EI) in personal performance management, who will be paying employees to boost their intrapersonal skills? These skills make people feel good, first, with themselves before they can feel good with others.

How To Improve Self-love
Love begins with the love of one’s self. People call it self-love. If you do not love yourself, how can you love another person? You cannot give out what you do not have. Learning to love one’s self is not as easy as one might think. This is particularly so for people who had experienced childhood abuse. The corollary of the absence of self-love is self-hate. For hints on how to boost your self-love, register at www.mamcoaching.com and get one-month free trial of MAM Coaching Buddy.

What are you allowing your children to get away with?
A youth is under arrest in the UK for hacking into websites of top security agencies in Britain and America. His mother was quoted as saying that her son has been obsessed with computers since he was 12. What are you allowing your children to get away with?
Success and Happiness

Attitude
“Whenever you are in a conflict with someone, there is one factor that can make the difference between damaging your relationship and deepening it. That factor is attitude.” William James.
What would you like to be remembered for?
The lone protester at the British Parliament Square, Brian Hall has died. For ten years he protested against what he considered to be an unjustly invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan. As a peace campaigner, many people will remember him as the person that fought a ten-year battle with the authority to keep his voice heard through rain and sunshine. What would you like people to remember you for? What legacy would you like to leave behind when you die?

Be An Enlightened Leader
According to the way of the Tao, when an enlightened leader is in power, hardly is anyone aware that he exists. He just let the people get on with their lives. As a leader, what are you putting in the way of your people to make progress?
What living in a relationship really mean
Living in a relationship is not about ownership, nor is it about one person possessing the other. It is about allowing each party in the relationship to have the opportunity to work towards becoming the best of whatever they are capable of becoming.

The Story of A Winner
On the necessity to keep your focus on the things that really matter to you and which you strongly believe in, Mahatma Ghandi had this to say, “First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.”
The Power of Hope
The power of hope is that it makes you belief you lack nothing to achieve your dream. Let the power of hope keep your dream alive.

Our Daily Bread
Before asking God to give us our “daily bread”, let us learn to first ask him to show us the right action to take on a daily basis and the energy we need to take each action at the right time in order for us to receive our daily bread.
Real Success
The real successful people, in mind, are people who have succeeded in some areas of their lives and are happy to share the secrets of their success in order to help other people to be more successful in those areas.

In Life, What Determines Success or Failure?
There is an ongoing debate to promote Emotional Quotient (EM) as a more pragmatic determinant of sustainable human success. The debate seeks to challenge the old paradigm that human success depends on individual level of Intelligence measured by IQ. What is your definition of success in life? What constitutes failure? They say one man’s meat is another man’s poison. Is this old saying relevant in this debate? Is there any generally accepted definition of human success or failure?
I have seen many people considered to be of very high intelligence, yet some of them have ended their lives feeling totally unfulfilled. On the other hand, I have also seen people who started their early lives with very little chance of ever achieving success because of their perceived very low level of intelligence. Yet, some of them have gone ahead to make substantial contributions to their communities and to human progress, feeling totally self-fulfilled. What determines success or failure in life?
Your Legacy
If you had once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to give a valuable present to the world as part of your contribution to humanity, what would it be?

Sufficiency of His Grace
You do not need any manmade law to live your life if you understand the way of God and constantly seek to live by it. His grace is sufficient for you.
Your authentic self
It is a remarkable demonstration of your authentic self when you know what you belief and have the audacity to stand by it even if you have everything to lose.

IQ Vs EQ
You need a high level of Intelligence Quotient (IQ) to be successful in your College, University or Professional examinations. However, to be successful in the University of Life, you need a higher level of Emotional Quotient (EQ). To have a high EQ is to be emotionally intelligent. To be emotionally intelligent is to be perceptive, to be receptive, to be resourceful, to be energetic, to be honest, to be dependable and most importantly, to be compassionate. What personal quality do you have that makes you stand out of the crowd?

Everything happens for a purpose
We often blame God when bad things happen to good people. This is particularly heartbreaking when the bad thing happens to innocent children. However, let us learn from the rain. When it falls, it falls on both the bad and the good. Everything happens for a purpose. The ability to find a good purpose for any bad event is a blessing.

Blaming others for being unsuccessful
Finding another person to blame for one's problem is as old as human history. Adam blamed Eve for eating the apple. Eve blamed the serpent for deceiving her. The serpent blamed God for planting the apple tree in the garden. God broke the blame circle when he accepted his responsibility for his creation. What can human being learn from this?

Failure, what failure
Failure and success are two sides of the same coin. The nature of man is to perceive life and living in duality. We invented names to fit that which we do not totally understand. We label things in part to reflect our limited knowledge of the whole. In God, there is no duality, no division, no opposition and no competition. Because God is good, everything he created is good. For example, in the book of Genesis, after each creation, and before he proceeds to create the next, God would stop to see that what he had created “was good.”
God never created anything that failed to function in the way he had intended. So where did man get the label from? We gave ourselves the label the moment we separated our nature from the nature of God. Our separation from God brought us into direct opposition with everything that is good. Opposition leads to competition. A beautiful woman is on competition with an ugly woman. A handsome man is in competition with an ugly man. Black is in the opposite of white. Light is against darkness. We think of success in terms of a university degree because the other person can only manage to have a diploma. You think of your short status because you have a few tall people around you. The list is endless.
The truth is that the way we define failure is our failure. In God, there is no failure but perfection. Failure is a human invention meant to define the extent of our separation from God. It sets the limit of what we can do, what we can be and what we can have. To live our lives in the way God had intended for us, we must begin to redefine our understanding of failure. Each time you think of failure, think of the extent of your separation from God’s plan for your life.
